Verdict

This is poor and with a few unexposed types from shrewd yards the market may prove the best guide, but without it we'll take DIMAIRE to get the better of Roybuoy and Bandear. Our selection remains a maiden after eight starts but there doesn't appear anything wrong with her attitude, she's simply found one or two that are better. Her best effort came here last time and the winner is now rated over 70, suggesting that this opening mark of 58 may prove lenient. Roybuoy is also a maiden but this drop back to six can see him in a better light and he's bred to be a bit better than a 52-rated horse; many will take a chance on him proving it here. Bandear ran over a mile last time so takes a marked drop in distance here. She's proved disappointing but Clive Brittain's horses are going well and perhaps she'll find improvement for the switch to sprinting, in which case the filly would have claims. Seb Sanders is a strong booking aboard Mary's Pet who showed promise over this trip on debut whilst Shawcantango is another intruiging handicap debutant so a market check is strongly advised. Miss Kitty Grey promises to stay this far and can be counted a shade unfortunate to have not won already so her claims are solid and My Mandy is consistent at a modest level, but we prefer the claims of Dimaire and she can get off the mark.
