made all, driven over 1f out, drew readily clear inside final furlong
awkwardly away and slowly into stride, chased leaders, driven over 2f out, soon ridden, stayed on to go 2nd inside final furlong, not pace of winner
tracked winner, ridden over 1f out, soon no impression, lost 2nd inside final furlong
Just the three runner turn up for this maiden where Richard Fahey has two of them and out of the pair, despite jockey bookings suggesting otherwise we side with MICA MIKA at the expense of Las Vergals Star while Gartsherrie shouldn't be far away. Paul Hanagan has decided not to partner the pick in favour of Las Vergals Start but we see that as a slightly odd decision as that one will need further than this and has to recover from a poor debut run. The Pick, on the other hand, has a decent sprint pedigree, related to plenty of winners and from a yard still flying he has every chance on his racing bow. Gartsherrie is also bred well enough and could put a fly in the ointment but with him also likely to be better over further we side with the only likely sprinter in the race and Mica Mika.
