The last race on the card should be between LAURELDEANS BEST, Provost and Sea Land with the vote going to the Fahey runner. The selection is not one of confidence but the race should be run to suit. The Fahey horse has been very consistent over the last two years and with a very good five pound claimer in the plate, he should go very close especially with the yard in blistering early season form. Mick Eatserby's Provost enters calculations after his determined victory three weeks ago. He has a shout but there is a good chance the race won't be run to suit. James Sullivan's mount usually likes to come from the back off a strong pace but in this 9 runner field, he will hardly get the pace he wants. Sea Land has a squeak after returning to form on the opening day of the flat season but he may just be in the grip of the handicapper. The betting should be monitored with Captain Imperial as he has tumbled down the weights over the past year. He hasn't been void of ability in his last two starts and would be interesting with a market move. The prize should go to Laureldeans Best.
