The short list for the finale contains Spinning Reel, Khun John and Ours, with the vote going to Spinning Reel. Khun John showed plenty of promise on his Lingfield debut and, with the stable's runners often improving for a run, he looks a major player in this contest. Just ahead of him on his debut was Chasing A Dream, who runs earlier on the card. However, with her stable in form, Spinning Reel, who showed a lot of promise on her Lingfield debut, might just prove the answer to a maiden that lacks strength in depth. Ours has shown Turf promise and, even though the form only rates in the low 60s, that could be good enough for a bold showing. Obvious other contenders are Jeremy Noseda's Kilgary, who showed promise on her July debut, although she has not been seen since, and Ifatfirst is surely better than his debut run suggested and he could well step on that effort. The vote, though, goes to Spinning Reel.
