        Verdict

        GREAT KNIGHT can add to his recent course and distance success and he gets the vote over Monte Cassino and Dhhamaan. The selection clearly loves it here as he has won his last two starts over the course and distance, most recently when he got the better of Monte Cassino. He overcame a poor draw to score that day and on these terms there is no obvious reason why the form should be reversed today. In fact it is Monte Cassino who has a dreadful draw this afternoon and that will make it difficult to win. Dhhamaan finished fourth in that same Wolverhampton race that Great Knight won but he was returning from a break that day so he is entitled to come on for the run. Bertbrand finished fifth but he has since been out and won here, albeit in a claimer. Namu hinted at return to form last time and could be another to consider, but Great Knight had most of these behind him when he won last time and he can confirm superiority this afternoon.
