In depth

Verdict

Smooth Sovereign looks the obvious choice in this maiden and he is taken to get the better of Wannabe Free and Cybersnow. The selection chased home the well-regarded General-Blucher on his debut and he is sure to come on plenty for the experience. His yard are in sparkling form and he will take plenty of beating over this longer trip which should suit. That is not sure to be the case for Wannabe Free who has got some fair form but she has struggled to get home in some of her races so it is doubtful that this extra distance will play to her strengths. Cybersnow has shown promise on both of his runs so far so he is respected, although he was beaten at odds-on last time at Lingfield and he has a bit to prove. Brave Bugsby has ability and is another to consider as there should be more to come. But Smooth Sovereign stands out here and he is the confident pick.
