Powerful Pierre has claims on the figures but has has never raced on an artificial surface so it may well prove worth taking him on with Thaliwarru or LEXI'S LAYLA who gets the nod. The selection is quickly dropped in grade for her second start of the season and may be able to make the most of the opportunity to break her maiden tag. She got pretty worked up ahead of her seasonal reappearance at Kempton and still has to prove that she's trained on but should be suited by this trip and has live claims on the pick of her juvenile efforts. Powerful Pierre has made the frame on each of his three starts this season and certainly deserves to pick up a race; he may well take to this surface but has it to prove and his stable hasn't saddled a winner since September so may not be one to take too short a price about. Thaliwarru finished well held in a Nottingham handicap last time but had been in good form prior to that and has twice made the frame at Southwell. Anjomarba should be on the premises and Frontline Boy is worth considering too but preference is for Lexi's Layla.
