In a very weak race to get proceedings under way, the placed form of Maggie's Pet stands out, and she should collect at the expense of Giust In Temp and Amanpuri. There are plenty of duck eggs on view here, but Maggie's Pet has been runner-up twice in her last three starts and will never have a better chance of going one better. She has been beaten by better opposition than she takes on today, in Qobtaan here and Najaaba at Southwell, and although well held on both occasions, ran on gamely enough. She has dropped down enough in the weights since starting her all-weather career this time last year, and can get off the mark at the 19th time of asking. Giust In Temp has been a maiden even longer than the selection but has a tiny squeak based on his second to Bella Pavlina over the course and distance the time before last. Red Storm is a previous scorer over track and trip as is Bevier, but the much-travelled Amanpuri should have acclimatized by now and may be capable of beating both of them for a place. For the winner though, it has to be Maggie's Pet to gain a long overdue success.
