Alan Bailey's Granny McPhee probably found the race coming too soon after her win here the day before when beaten last time and she may struggle again under her penalty today in a race taken to go to BY COMMAND, who was good value for his win in an amateur riders' race last time and he can follow up with the main danger rated as Boo. James Unett's gelding lost no caste in defeat behind Formidable Guest here last time but a 2lb rise for that run makes this more difficult and he may find it hard to go one better in just as competitive contest as last time. Julia Feilden's Bavarica was a narrow winner at Lingfield last month and he has to be respected but a 7lb rise for that win looks harsh so he may be best watched. Frank Sheridan's Ahlawy has been running well of late but he has a bit to find with Boo on running here last time and of more interest may be Mel Brittain's Grey Command, who is better than he showed here last time. Kevin Ryan's By Command won well in that amateur riders' event here recently though and has solid claims of following up off his new mark.
