The trio for the shortlist are Mijas Playa, AILSA CARMEL and Existentialist and we will nominate Alisa Carmel to lead them home. The Mick Channon-trained filly has shown some solid form this season and she should make a bold bit to get her head in front here from the plum draw. She is quickly turned out after chasing home Kaptain Kirkup at Newcastle on Thursday and with conditions to suit a good run is anticipated. Mijas Playa was reported to have lost her action last time out at Sandown but prior to that she had been in good form. She has the worst of the draw but she should be capable of better today. Existentialist was outclassed in the Hilary Needler at Beverley last time but she is racing in more realistic company today and she is another who should be capable of a better showing, especially as she has a good draw and she has won over the course and distance. Richard Hannon does well with his runners here and White Daffodil is another worth a mention at a bigger price. Alilsa Carmel makes most appeal and gets the vote.
