ADMIRAL SANDHOE is worth a punt in a tricky finale where Forte Dei Marmi, Best In Class and Barbarian are shortlisted as the best of the rest. Barbarian did very little wrong in his last two starts and has created the impression that a modest handicap is within his capabilities. A mile suits him ideally and Barry Hills' charge is one to keep tabs on from here. Best In Class improved to win an all-weather maiden in February and is another that appeals as being capable of attaining further success. The son of Best Of The Bests should cope with the switch to turf and is likely to be a big threat to the selection. The handicapper has taken no chances with Forte Die Marmi, who starts the next phase of his career on a mark of 74 tonight. Luca Cumani is a past master at placing horse of this type to good effect, so strong market support would be very dangerous to ignore. However, that scenario would help bolster the odds available about Admiral Sandhoe, who comes here with a similar profile to Cumani's horse but has a touch more experience. Having got to know Admiral Sandhoe with a string of near misses last season, Jim Crowley is likely to get a good tune out of the Diesis colt and his mount gets the nod as the main hope in a tough one to call.
