Verdict

A novices' hurdle gets us underway here and QUADDICK LAKE gets the nod ahead of King¿s Alchemist and Mac Halen. The selection comes from the yard of David Pipe and has two victories from four races this year. The gelding slipped up at the last time of asking, finishing 13th of 17, this appears to have been a slight blip on form that otherwise makes very good reading and we tip him to return to winning ways today. King's Alchemist has been running well of late. The four-year-old has been second at the last two attempts and has been progressing well this year. He looks capable of breaking his duck but the selection may prove too good for him to beat. Mac Halen looks best of the remainder in this small field. The gelding was impressive on his return last time, finishing second. He can benefit from this step up in trip and should make the frame. Prince Zafonic and Mystic storm can figure if they can put in much improved performances but for us Quaddick looks best.
