In depth

Verdict

A handicap hurdle draws a close to today's racing from Plumpton. Our selection goes to SENOR SHANE who can see off close challenges from Letham Island and Rosses Point. The selection was a course and distance winner when last here earlier this month and looks capable of repeating that victory after following up with a decent run at Market Rasen last time. He looks marginally better than each way alternative Letham Island who is in good form in recent weeks. Second at Newcastle last time she has recently returned to form, she can stay this trip without fuss and the going should suit. Rosses Point hasn¿t been seen since 2007 but has claims here and looks best of the remainder. He makes his track debut today, the going should suit and he is capable of making the money ahead of the rest. Day Of Pleasure and Quartz Du Montceau have done well here already this year but will need to show a little improvement if they are to worry our selection Senor Shane.
