Verdict
A chance is taken with CARLETON, who is suggested as the selection in preference to Sarah's Art, Buxton and Orange Pip. The last named is arguably the main hope of Richard Hannon's yard (they also sends out Superduper) and the market will be a good gauge as to whether the filly is cherry ripe for her seasonal debut. The Hannon team have hit the post with a plethora of runners in the last fortnight, so it is safe to assume she is capable of being on the premises if all goes to plan for her. Buxton is a consistent type and merits a cursory look in the betting. With five runners sharing top weight, his fitness advantage could be a telling factor near the finish. So he has to be respected. Sarah's Art arrives here in good form and, having been raised just 3lb for his latest success, he has sound each-way claims on these terms. However, Carleton, who won his maiden at Windsor on his first ever start, is expected to be firing on all cylinders for his first start of the campaign and, with the ground expected to suit, the four-year-old is worth a small investment tonight.
