Verdict
Ventura may not have beaten a great deal when making a winning return at Folkestone last month but Amanda Perrett's filly looks to be potentially well treated for her debut in this grade on a line through the runner-up that day so gets the vote to follow up here, with the main threats rated as Royal Secrets and Fragrancy. The last mentioned did not progress as much as may have been anticipated on her second start this term but it may be too soon to write off the Michael Jarvis-trained filly. Sir Michael Stoute's Arabian Treasure seems a shade high in the weights judged by her latest start, while Tender The Great has a career high mark to overcome. Ed Dunlop's Royal Secrets is improving with each start and could be of interest on her debut in this grade but preference is for Ventura.
