SAMURAI WARRIOR, Turjuman and Drum Major look the principals in an open finale, with Samurai Warrior taken to complete the hat trick. Turjuman left his three-year-old form well behind when a staying on fourth at Newbury on his re-appearance. That was a considerable step up on previous efforts, and he is racing off the same mark here and can go well. A Great Leighs maiden winner in October, Drum Major put a brief, disappointing hurdling campaign behind him to be a staying on second at Newbury a fortnight ago. He benefitted from a four month break, and given normal improvement for that outing, can go well here, although the trip may be on the short side. In contrast, Samurai Warrior tries a longer trip, and he looked thoroughly exposed before landing successive races at Lingfield and Bath recently, the latest win quite decisive. Only 6lbs higher here, Samurai Warrior can win again.
