Verdict

This doesn't look the strongest of maidens and it would be no surprise to see Michael Bell's Exceed And Excel colt MALVIA make a winning start under Ryan Moore. He has an entry in the Middle Park so must have been showing something at home. Steal The Scene looks the best of those with experience having been prominent for a long way at Newmarket 10 days ago when only beaten a length and a quarter. Wet Sail also showed promise on his introduction at HQ in May but the handicap route probably beckons for Red Tycoon, and Lady Cecil's Always Be Ready is likely to need further and more time.
