Only a handful of these have realistic claims of losing their maiden tags and SAMAAHA is the obvious one to side with although Tinaar has caught the eye on both starts and Silk And Satin takes the eye on paper. Philippina hasn't really lived up to expectations but she's still a useful yardstick and Samaaha ran as well as could have been expected behind her on debut in desperate ground at Nottingham. This half-sister to Mamool may not be anything out of the ordinary but winning a race will be the priority and connections look to have found the right opportunity. Tinaar shaped promisingly in a decent Newmarket maiden before finding the drop back to a mile against her at Ascot. She's from a good family and has the ability to win races but is eligible for handicaps after this and it'll be interesting to see which way she moves in the market. That also applies to the debutante Silk And Satin who can boast the smart performers Lucifer Sam and Admiralofthefleet amongst her siblings. A good number of the yard's runners have scored at the first time of asking and she's a fascinating runner. Phantom Ridge took third behind Mary Goodnight last time and could pick up some more prize money as may the consistent but thoroughly exposed Heritage Coast. Saeed Bin Suroor's strike rate with three year-olds at this track is night on thirty per cent and Samaaha may be able to improve it further.
