Punters are faced with something of a quandary with the unusual occurrence of there being no Richard Hannon trained juvenile to latch on to and the best alternative may prove to be MARCUS CICERO who is preferred to Baby Dottie although support for Sunraider would be enough to change our mind. The going will be a factor as a soft ground would turn the selection's low draw to his advantage but a quick break may still negate that if the field opt to come down the stand side. Peter Winkworth has his juveniles in good order and there was plenty to like about this one's debut at Chepstow in a race that is working out well. He'll go close. The form of Baby Dottie's polytrack debut has also received several boosts and her pedigree suggests that softer ground will hold no fears; that initial outing should have taught her plenty. The fly in the ointment is Middle Park entry Sunraider as he could turn out to be a cut above these if that entry is anything to go by. He has a soft ground pedigree but is well drawn and had plenty of engagements to choose from. Market support for this colt would be ominous for the rest given that few of the remainder jump off the page. However, for the time being, we'll take Marcus Cicero to come out on top.
