These maidens at this track can often prove informative, so it is a race to watch with interest and, from a shortlist containing Exhibit One, Celtic Shadow, Buster Hyvonen, Count Kristo, Garibaldi, Patronage, Viable and Virtue, the vote goes to Virtue. On her debut 14 days ago, the selection was second in a course and distance maiden and, much as that form has yet to be franked, it seems a race of fairly comparable standard to this one. With that in mind, plus the fact that she will be a little sharper this time around, the Roger Charlton-trained filly can give Her Majesty The Queen a winner at Royal Windsor. Buster Hyvonen has shown promise on the all-weather, while Celtic Shadow is surely better than he showed on his debut. Count Kristo may not have built on his promising Newbury debut on his only other run last season but is respected based on his debut run. Garibaldi is another to have shown all-weather promise, while Patronage's third to Forward Move on his final start last season reads as fair form. Viable's third to Salinja at Nottingham last time also has something to like about it, but Wembury Point, although he has shown promise, has only only modest. The quite well-related Sir Michael Stoute-trained Exhibit One has, of course, to be respected but, for the winner, we return to Virtue.
