Mia's Boy caught the eye of the stewards at Lingfield last time when ridden by Adrian McCarthy and, not surprisingly, he does not ride today with Ted Durcan given the responsibility to guide the likely winner home in a race where the main threats look to be Fourteenth and Moon Quest. The last mentioned is a well bred newcomer from Godolphin's stable and has to be respected on his debut. Sir Michael Stoute's Garden Party only beat one home on his all-weather debut at Kempton and is surely better than he showed on that occasion, while Master Halling disappointed over 1m4f at Haydock last time and may do better now dropped back in trip. Sir Michael Stoute is also responsible for the newcomer Fourteenth, a half-brother to Public Forum, and he has to be considered on his debut but Mia's Boy is bound to be popular with backers and gets the vote to make amends for his defeat last time.
