Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

American Art's form has a strong look to it and he gets the vote here ahead of newcomer Enactment and Ink Spot. Barry Hills' Statue Of Liberty colt seemed to appreciate some cut in the ground when finishing a good fourth at Newbury sixteen days ago. He looks sure to get further in time and therefore he looks sure to be staying every yard of this trip. Ink Spot improved on his debut when runner-up at Ayr. There was some juice in the ground that day so he may handle the going better than some and looks the obvious danger. Berrynarbor is the only filly in the race but looks up against it today. Clive Brittain's runners normally improve for the run so Always Ready cannot be ruled out, whilst Enactment looks the most interesting of the newcomers. Watch the market is the advice for this son of Pivotal (should like the soft ground), however American Art holds a decent level of form and gets the nod.
