Lady Grace is preferred to Medley and Princess Valerina. The selection acquitted herself well at listed level last season and if she has trained on, she has the form to score in a race of this nature. Medley has the benefit of a racecourse start thus far. All her form is on good-to-firm so there has to be a slight question about the going. Princess Valerina finished 14th in the 1,000 Guineas so brings Classic form to the table. She has looked exposed in the past but does handle the surface. Goodbye Cash faces a steep rise from handicap company and shapes as if seeing out this extra furlong. A disappointing turnout for the money and without reference to the betting, Lady Grace looks the best of these on paper.
Medley 7-1 (8-6) Chased leader, ridden 2f out, one pace under pressure final furlong, 3rd of 6, 2 1/2l behind Hoh Mike (8-11) at Ascot 6f 3yo lst stk (1) gf in May.
Princess Valerina 250-1 (9-0) Led centre group, merged to stand's side group halfway and remained prominent, weakened over 2f out, 14th of 21, 20l behind Finsceal Beo (9-0) at Newmarket 1m 3yo Fll Grp 1 (1) gf in May.
Goodbye Cash (IRE) 7-2fav (8-12) Dwelt, soon prominent, with leaders halfway, ridden over 2f out, driven, edged left and led inside final furlong, held on well, won at Newmarket 6f 3yo hcp (4) sft in May beating Ken's Girl (8-8) by a hd, 7 ran.
