In depth

Verdict

Chabrimal Minster was good value for his success in a novice chase at Warwick last month and is taken to follow up at the main expense of Motcombe and Zimbabwe. The last mentioned has ability but has failed to progress as much as may have been anticipated so may be best watched despite a falling handicap mark. Jim Old's Boundary House ran no sort of race over course and distance last time and may be better judged on his earlier defeat of Treasulier on more suitable ground here the time before. Scratch The Dove is on a long losing sequence and of more interest may be Robert Alner's Motcombe, who lost no caste in defeat behind Happy Shopper at Lingfield when last seen. The vote though goes to Chabrimal Minster, who has not been punished by the handicapper for his Warwick success and has every chance of following up.
