Lunar Sovereign and Ardglass probably have the best form among those to have raced previously but there are some interesting newcomers in opposition with Promotion looking the pick of them. The selection was a useful middle distance performer on the level earning a rating of 100 and The Queen's gelding is now in the care of Nicky Henderson, who can be relied upon to have a newcomer fit and well enough schooled first time out. There is little to choose between the two Jonio O'Neill-trained runners Ice Melted and Great Memories although neither makes any great appeal, while Inishturk needs to improve on what he has showed. French import Roche Ecossaise is probably best watched on his debut for Robert Alner and of more interest may be Martin Pipe's Lunar Sovereign, who showed slightly improved form last time. Ardglass showed promise on his hurdling debut but Promotion could be a decent recruit to the novice hurdling ranks and he gets the vote.
