Verdict

A tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be Free To Run, Wildfield Rufo, Dominikus and Grangewick Flight and the tentative vote goes to Wildfield Rufo. The selection would be hard to beat if he could reproduce his second behind Moscow Leader a couple of runs ago. He has since disappointed on rain softened ground and with this faster surface sure to suit he will be hard to beat. Free To Run rates the main danger on his best form but he was let down by his jumping last time and for that reason he is opposed. Dominikus is another that could go well but he gave the impression that the handicapper had caught up with him when fifth behind Flying Trix and he will need to improve if he is to win this off this mark. Grangewick Flight travels well in his races but he finds little off the bridle while Monty;s Quest has yet to prove he sees out this trip and for the winner we return to Wildfield Rufo.
