Verdict

A small field goes to post for this novices chase and the principals look to be Benefit, Lord of Illusion and Be Fair and the tentative vote goes to the last named. The selection was a fair fourth behind Sadlers Wings last time out over hurdles he is sure to have been well schooled for this his chasing debut and with conditions in his favour he will be hard to beat. Benefit rates the main danger he won well last time out when defeating Simlet but this is more competitive and he will find it harder under his penalty. Lord Of Ilusion is the only other runner that can be given a serious chance of winning he was a fair third behind Estoto on his last run but he is a far from fluent jumper and we prefer to side with Be Fair who was a fair hurdler and need only jump around to score.
