made all, driven over 1f out, ran on well readily
chased winner, ridden and effort over 1f out, kept on, not pace of winner
slowly into stride, behind but soon pushed along, outpaced 3f out, soon ridden, kept on same pace final furlong
dwelt, chased leaders, outpaced over 2f out, soon ridden, kept on under pressure final furlong
Royal Island, Unlimited and Mitchelland are the three to concentrate on in the opener and the narrow preference is given to Unlimited. The selection won well when defeating Urabande on the AW at Southwell last time having shown promise on the same track on his debut. His style of racing should see him more effective on the turf and as he is still open to plenty of improvement he is taken to score. Royal Island rates the main danger as he made an impressive debut at Beverley when defeating Skippit John. He is clearly a useful prospect but he will probably be better over further in time and this is more difficult than his debut race so he will have to be at his best to see off our selection. Mitchelland was well beaten in a better race than this at Chester last time but he had previously won well over course and distance and if he can reproduce that effort he will not be far away. The two newcomers are unlikely to be good enough to trouble the principles and we are happy to stick with Unlimited as our idea of the winner.
