LORD THEO has a decent chance of supplementing Newmarket gains with Lyceana and Latin Scholar the two that could give him most to do. Souter Point has ability but has failed to translate that to the track; that said the form of his latest three runs doesn't read too badly in the context of this race and he, too, merits a place on the short-list. The selection ran on strongly to take the spoils in what was probably a more competitive race at Newmarket on Saturday. There's always the concern about a horse that's having his fifth run in a month but his good run of form has shown no signs of coming to an end. Love In The Park could find this a shade too competitive and stronger claims are held by Lyceana who beat all bar an impressive winner at Salisbury. Latin Scholar is a pound higher than his highest winning mark but the booking of Dettori takes the eye for a yard whose Flat runners command respect and he should appreciate the step back up in trip. Holden Eagle, Jawaab and Ross Moor are not without claims but the vote goes the way of Lord Theo.
