KHOR DUBAI may well be able to break his yard's poor run at this track although Appalachian Trail and Taqdeyr should have a say in matters. Khor Dubai had struggled this season after a successful juvenile campaign but everything fell right for him at Kempton last time where he came home with a strong run. He has a decent chance at the weights of following up in this contest. Taqdeyr was made favourite to win a competitive handicap at Newmarket last time only to run no sort of race. He has something to prove on the back of that and his tendency to race keenly could pose problems in this small field if it becomes tactical. Appalachian Trail hasn't scored since taking a Listed race in May of last year but the experienced campaigner has shown signs of returning to form of late and he has the class to win a race of this nature. Cyflymder has done nothing but improve and is well worth his place in this line-up as is Courageous on the best of his form but his last two runs have been bitterly disappointing. Sudden Impact has progressed rapidly since mid-summer and stayed on well to finish just outside the places in a Listed race at Pontefract but this looks a little tougher again. Khor Dubai needs to prove that he can build on his run at Kempton but he's given the chance to do so.
