Verdict
A market move for the Mark Johnston-trained newcomer Cono Zur could be of interest, but we will side with MR CORBY to get the better of Caldercruix. The selection looks a progressive sort on the evidence of his run last time out when he finished fourth behind Ransom Note. The step up to today's trip clearly suited that day and he looks to have a big chance here of losing his maiden tag at the third time of asking. He has the best form on show but the fly in the ointment could come from one of the newcomers. Trainer Tom Tate has a decent strike-rate with his juveniles this season so Caldercruix is worth considering on his racecourse bow, while Cono Zur is well bred and Mark Johnston has also done well with his juveniles this season. Stuart Williams is a shrewd trainer so any support for Drubinca could be of interest, but it will take a decent one to beat Mr Corby who gets our vote.
