BOTHAM is in good form and he can resume winning ways at the main expense of Imperial Sword and Errigal Lad. The selection has won two of his last four races and he ran a blinder when he finished second behind Realt Na Mara at Carlisle last time. He is clearly still capable of getting competitive off his currrent mark and he has solid claims. Imperial Sword is another in good form and he is unpenalised for his success in an apprentice handicap at Ayr earlier in the month when he beat Liberty Trail. Errigal Lad has been given a break since his last run when he disappointed at Thirsk. He may fare better after a short spell away from the racecourse and it would not be a surprise to see him bounce back to form today. Tim Easterby has his string in good form at present so both Dazzling Bay and Bravely are worth considering for each-way players. However, the vote goes to Botham.
