Another wide open handicap rounds off the card and many have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Moonshine Beach, Calamintha and Rossall Point and the tentative vote goes to Calamintha. The selection was a fair third behind Somona off this mark last time and need only reproduce that effort to score. Moonshine Beach rates the main danger he won well last time out when defeating Shotley Dancer and again has conditions to suit but this looks more competitive and may struggle under his penalty. Rossall Point was a fair fourth in a maiden handicap behind Masterman Ready last time and a reproduction of that effort would give him definite place claims. Henry Island has dropped to a handy mark and could go well at a price but he has become very disappointing of late so can not be backed with any confidence. Of the remainder Snow's Ride is another that is well weighted on his best form and is from a shrewd yard so is worth noting in the market but in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Calamintha.
