A typically open end of season maiden and advice is to watch the market for clues, but without that we will side with Cat De Mille to be good enough, with Strikeen, Satin Braid and Hemispear others to consider. The selection is clearly open to plenty of improvement after just one start to date. On that occasion he ran green at Newmarket, and he should go much better for that run, especially with this step up to a mile which is likely to suit. Strikeen put up a comparalbe sort of effort when fourth in similar company at Salisbury last month. The selection has shown he handles soft ground, but Terry Mills' colt has yet to race with cut underfoot and so is just opposed. The filly Satin Braid has the benefit of two starts under her belt. However, on neither occasion has she matched that offered by the other pair and although she could claim a place it would be a bit of a surprise if she were good enough, particularly on this surface, while the experienced Hemispear is gradually improving but has to prove she handles cut, and in any case is another with a bit to find. In summary then, Cat De Mille is taken to score for Peter Chapple-Hyam.
