Gentle Guru looks the pick in what is a fairly competitive fillies heat, with Twitch Hill, Knapton Hill and newcomer Winning Smile others to consider. The selection Gentle Guru put up the best performance of any of these last time out, when runner up and beaten just a head by Lorena Wood at Goodwood on good going. That was a marked improvement on her first effort, and although soft ground is not ideal, her sire handled yielding ground well enough, so she may be able to get through it and take the prize. Twitch Hill got through the prevailing heavy ground at Haydock on debut and improved for faster ground last time. She still has a fair bit to find however, and is opposed along with Knapton Hill, whose sire Zamindar was a winner on soft ground in France, but who has to show more than in two starts to date to be of serious interest. Peter Chapple-Hyam's Winning Smile is of interest. Watch the market for a guide the chances of this filly who has Sadler's Wells in her pedigree on her dam's side and could enjoy getting her toe in, but we will go with Gentle Guru to teach them all a thing or two.
