    Verdict

Gallantry is narrowly preferred over Bobski and Phluke in this handicap. The selection is a course and distance winner and he ran well despite missing the break at Thirsk last time. He finished well behind Malcheek that day and as that was his first run of the season there should be more to come tonight. Bobski is the obvious danger as his jockey lost an iron coming out of the stalls in that same Thirsk race and he still only finished a neck behind our selection. However, we think that Gallantry will come-on for the run and if he does that should give him the edge over Bobski tonight. Phluke won well last time when beating Selective and he is a course and distance winner so he has to enter calculations. Goodwood Spirit is a game and consistent type and if he is fit enough to do himself justice after being off the track since October then he could be of interest. However, for the winner we will stick with Gallantry.
