In depth

Verdict

WINKER WATSON and Dream Eater are the two to concentrate on here with Regal Parade the one who can take third. Carcinetto and Iguacu are up against it in this company and Plum Pudding's best performances have come on a straight track so we're happy enough to rule him out as well. Regal Parade finished well having been outpaced at Kempton over six and has claims but his best performances have been achieved in double figure fields and he may be vulnerable if this becomes tactical. Dream Eater only ran twice last year but he was beaten under five lengths in the Guineas and under three lengths in the Jersey Stakes; he should go mighty close here. Marginal preference is for Winker Watson who returned from injury to run some credible races. He has a little to prove but connections have retained their faith and he's worth persevering with for the time being. He didn't appear to have the stamina for a mile last season so his first run at this intermediate trip on a sharp track could prove to be ideal and may see Winker Watson return to the winner's enclosure.
