GEORGE THISBY ran an eyecatching race at Doncaster and is consequently preferred to Desert Fever and Arctic Freedom. Rod Millman has hit the ground running at the start of this turf season and George Thisby ran well above market expectations when staying on well to chase home a decent odds-on shot at Doncaster. There didn't appear to be any fluke about that performance and connections will fancy their chances of going one better. The standard is arguably set by Arctic Freedom who went close in a Newmarket maiden that has worked out well before recording another fine effort in defeat at Great Leighs. There's plenty to like about her and she's respected. Danies Boy must also be feared but we could also see a big run from Desert Fever who represents a yard that's already enjoying a far better season than they did last term. He finished well back at Goodwood but the principals have proved themselves to be useful and the trip was on the sharp side. This is more suitable and he could feature but we'll stick with George Thisby.
