Nina Fontenail is the speculative choice over Fillameena, with General Flumpa and Short Change others worth a second glance at least. Nina Fontenail is the one that lines up in the best recent form, having followed a couple of seconds with a gutsy victory over Lysander's Quest at Folkestone a fortnight ago. As she appears to be on the upgrade at present, Rod Millman's charge should be capable of defying a penalty in this company. Fillameena caught the eye when staying on for third at Chepstow and must be on the short-list as well along with General Flumpa who will find this shorter trip more to his liking after running out of steam behind Mersey Sound at Newmarket. Short Change has not been seen since winning here on fast ground last June, but likes the track, and if fit enough, can make his presence felt if handling the softer going. He should be noted in the market, but for the winner we return to Nina Fontenail.
