Few, if any, are ruled out with confidence but we'll select Borrowdale and also have a look at Dear Will and Titfer. Borrowdale appeals as just the sort to improve for the step up in trip now that he's handicapping and he has shown enough in qualifying for a mark to suggest that he's got some ability. He finished last on debut but has taken closer order on each of his two subsequent outings over six furlongs and has been finishing well which bodes well for this step up to a mile. Dear Will may have finished behind Llab Nalla last time but he was hampered at the start and lacks the experience of that rival. The switch to turf and softer ground may well enable him to post an improved performance. Titfer is the last but by no means the least of our triumvirate. He was ultimately quite well beaten at Nottingham last time but he was in contention until weakening in the final furlong so his performance may have been a little better than it appears at first glance and the drop down in trip looks worth trying. Once again the market should be helpful and our selection, Borrowdale, is one of several to keep an eye on.
