In depth

Verdict

Not too much form to go on here, however what there is looks solid and only narrow preference is for Shampagne ahead of Premier Krug and Indian Art. The selection comes here on the back of a promising debut when second at Nottingham. That ruin, on soft ground, should have taught him a lot and given the level of support behind him on that day, he has obviously been pleasing someone at home. He will get further in time but with that experience in his locker, he is fancied to oblige. Indian Art looks one of the more interesting newcomers, and his sire Choisir can get some smart types judging by the start he has made to his career at stud. Premier Krug is of some interest, and Jimmy Fortune looks an intriguing jockey booking for David Evans. Imperial Skylight has shown plenty of ability in two starts, but he will be eligible for handicaps after this run. Flashmans Papers ran a decent race on his debut, and looks sure to improve for that experience, whilst Josiah Bartlett needs a check in the betting but may be one for the future. A decent maiden on paper, with Shampagne fancied to oblige.
