Raggle Taggle sets the standard and is consequently selected. There's no shortage of interesting newcomers in the field though and the market should help sort them out. Ralph Beckett has made a strong start to the season with his juveniles and this filly has run well on both starts to date. She handles soft ground, has done nothing wrong to date and has solid form. Accede is worth a second look given the success of a stablemate whilst Forward Feline, Kerrys Requiem, To The Point and Verlegen all make some appeal on paper; it's perhaps the last two that are of most interest. Ed McMahon's older horses have been in good form and this daughter of Refuse To Bend is related to a juvenile winner whilst the Hannon team have made their usual flying start and this filly is a half-sister to the talented juvenile Rag Top who was also trained at East Everleigh and made a winning debut in this race in 2002. Interesting stuff but we'll side with the proven form of Raggle Taggle.
