Amanda Perrett's Blue Tango ran better back on the flat at Kempton last month having disappointed over hurdles and has to be considered but he is probably better on faster ground and marginal preference is for ASPIRATIONAL, who gets the vote over Jackie Kiely. The last mentioned has been running well on the Fibresand in recent starts and has shown in the past that he handles cut in the ground on turf so the nine-year-old has to be respected. Reg Hollinshead's Boa has only raced on turf in bumpers and has yet to confirm that she handles ground as testing as this, while Jim Best's Jiggalong is another that has claims on form but has yet to race on ground this soft and is an unknown quantity on it. The vote then goes the way of Bryn Palling's Aspirational, who is another that has yet to prove that he handles ground this soft but being by Rainbow Quest out of a Night Shift mare it really should not be a problem for him and he gets the verdict.
