Verdict
AWESOME GEORGE should be able to comfortably account for Herons Well and Silver Bay on these terms. Alan King's charge failed to complete on his most recent outing but that came in the Jewson at the Cheltenham Festival and he never really looked to be enjoying himself having been hampered at the first. He has upwards of 10lbs in hand of his rivals on official ratings and should be able to sign off for the season on a winning note with the conditions not expected to prove problematical. Herons Well has enjoyed the switch to chasing having seemed held by the handicapper over hurdles earlier in the season; he won his first two starts before coming up short at Ludlow and may have to play the bridesmaid again. Silver Bay is the only other realistic contender but the balance of his form suggests that he'll be vulnerable over this trip which looks to be on the short side for him and ready preference is for Awesome George.
