In depth

Verdict

Lenny won unchallenged at Leicester earlier this month and has solid claims on that evidence but that was on heavy ground and with him yet to prove his effectiveness on good ground Caroline Bailey's gelding may be best ignored with preference for Seafield Bogie who gets the vote ahead of Magnetic Pole. The last mentioned has winning form on a softer surface but has run well under similar ground conditions to today and cannot be discounted in a race that may be more competitive than the numbers suggests. Razzamatazz should appreciate the better ground here, while it is to be hoped that Talikos is mentally fine following his fall last time. Star Double is hard to recommend on all known form and a safer option looks to be with Seafield Bogie who should appreciate the return to this sort of surface.
