Verdict

BASFORD WAYFARER and Jenny's Gold are preferred of those with experience whilst Maple Syrup is one of the more interesting newcomers. Jennie Candlish has her bumper horses in really good form and Basford Wayfarer made a really encouraging start to her career at Southwell. She stayed on well from off the pace to finish within six lengths of the winner despite not getting a clear run and should relish the test that this circuit sets. Jenny's Gold left her debut form behind when making the frame at Warwick; she travelled really sweetly on that occasion having been set plenty to do and could well go one better if ridden closer to the pace. Moscow Jewel has something to prove following a lacklustre run at Cheltenham whilst Our Guardian Angel, Shilpa and Sitella will also need to step up on the form that they've shown so far. Maple Syrup represents a yard that gets the occasional winner in this sphere and is out of a Derby winner so she's worth a market check but we'll take Basford Wayfarer to make the best of her way home.
