The penultimate race on the card is a bumper and we feel BEDROCK FRED can take this from Quidam Blue and Custer Of The West. The selection is being turned out quickly after running at Exeter seven days ago. That was quite a hot bumper he ran in and today's race should be a lot easier. He only cost connections £1,200 but looks like he will be paying his way if his bumper form is anything to go by. He will have a fitness edge over the Vaughan horse, Quidam Blue, who is coming back from a 298 day break. The Vaughan runner showed a lot of ability of debut before being badly hampered and eased off. If that bad race course experience hasn't affected his mind he should run well. The Alan King newcomer should be monitored in the betting as he is from the same family as the classy pair Viking Flagship and Flagship Uberalles. Don't let his breeding fool you though as connections only paid £7,000 for the son of Shernazer. However if the money comes he may be up to taking this.
