The third race on the card is the Gg.com Mares Novice Hurdle and ASTURIENNE should be up to taking this ahead of Hayes Princess and Tesserae. Alan King's mare must give weight away all round but she is quite a bit ahead on ratings so should be up to the feat. She is a well bred mare being a half sister to the smart but quirky Lough Derg so there should be more to come especially with her £50,000 price tag. She also boasts course and distance form which can be priceless around the demanding Towcester track. Today's event really should be a penalty kick for the daughter of Sleeping Car. Tim Vaughan's Hayes Princess should give the selection most to think about. Like the King runner she also has course and distance form which should be a huge help. Richard Johnson takes the ride and she will be in the shake up. Others to note are Dot's Delight and Tesserae but both, like the Vaughan runner, will do well to turn over the favourite.
