Jacobean started a short-priced favourite on his reappearance at the Curragh but appeared to dislike the heavy ground. He will have improved for the run but today's conditions could catch him out again unless it dries out. Novis Adventus showed some improvement on his reappearance last week and Jim Bolger likes to bring his horses out quickly but Master Of Mayhem looked a bit one-paced on his debut at Dundalk. Duke Cass will appreciate the ground on his debut and Xebec is a half-brother to a winner over 1m2f but it's another newcomer, RADANPOUR, who catches the eye. Dermot Weld's Sea The Stars colt is still in the Irish Derby and his dam has already produced four useful winners with her first five foals.
