Verdict

Patrick Prendergast won this in 2012 with a long odds-on chance but Greyscape finished behind Hasselnott in the opening juvenile race of the Turf season at the Curragh. The going was heavy that day, however, and both will improve for the run in what looked a decent contest. Kevin Prendergast saddled the runner-up there and Jim Bolger the fourth so they should have a line to the respective chances of newcomers Taisce Naisiunta and JEFFERSON DAVIS. The former should have enough pace but it's the latter, the third foal of a mare who has already produced two 5f winners, who is handed the vote. Scealtana has a smart pedigree though he'll definitely be suited by a longer trip in time and all of Vocal Perfection's winning relatives have scored over further.
